The Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 97-92 in Game 7 of the 2008 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals on Tuesday night at Quicken Loans Arena. The Celtics, who trailed 3-2 in the series, rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime. In overtime, Paul Pierce scored four points, including the go-ahead basket with 1:02 remaining. Pierce led the Celtics with 22 points, while Ray Allen added 21 points and Kevin Garnett had 18 points and 10 rebounds. LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 27 points, while Mo Williams added 18 points and Daniel Gibson had 16 points. The Celtics will now face the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals.
