Acrylic Nail Removal: Acetone vs. Non-Acetone
DIY Acrylic Nail Removal with Acetone
Materials:
- 100% pure acetone
- Cotton balls or pads
- Aluminum foil
- Nail file
Instructions:
- File down the surface of your acrylic nails to remove any shine.
- Soak cotton balls in 100% acetone and place them on your nails.
- Wrap each nail tightly with aluminum foil.
- Wait 15-30 minutes, or until the acrylic has softened.
- Unwrap the foils and gently push off the softened acrylic using an orangewood stick or cuticle pusher.
- If any acrylic remains, repeat the process for another 10-15 minutes.
Non-Acetone Acrylic Nail Removal
Materials:
- Non-acetone nail polish remover
- Cotton balls or pads
- Nail file
Instructions:
- File down the surface of your acrylic nails to remove any shine.
- Soak cotton balls in non-acetone nail polish remover and place them on your nails.
- Wrap each nail tightly with aluminum foil.
- Wait 20-30 minutes, or until the acrylic has softened.
- Unwrap the foils and gently push off the softened acrylic using an orangewood stick or cuticle pusher.
- If any acrylic remains, repeat the process for another 10-15 minutes.
Tips:
